Do You Really Need All Those Bookmarks?
I used to be bookmark horder. Let's be honest. When was the last time you used a bookmark to find something? If your like me probably never. Over the years I've collected a lot of bookmarks in various locations. In the browser, Goodlinks, Raindrop, Pinboard, Devonthink, Apple Notes, Instapaper and probably a few that I haven't thought of.
Over the years I've eliminated a lot of bookmarks. You know why? Because this is the web, and I can find most things with a quick Google search. I turn to Google instead of a bunch of cluttered bookmarks if I ever need to find something, anyway. So these days I only have 160 bookmarks and they're all in Goodlinks. And honestly I could delete them all and never miss a one.
